I Have Everything in the World
I have everything in the world I read old thinking, From ages before knowledge cleaved into jagged sections, I learn what it means to think. I hear strings and piano working in tandem, And love of eternal beauty swells within me. Clean and cozy in my almost-home, My temporary permanent room, I wait for my laundry to dry. I call my friends from home. I read and read and read. I think to myself, What a lovely life it is, To be able to read philosophy and fantasy, To understand both. To listen to classical music, Whenever I am able, Having the freedom to choose. I have everything in the world, Because I have joy. I love the world around me, And so I have everything.
